Goals and Objectives of the conference: Promoting the integration of museums in preserving their cultural foundations of Arctic peoples, beginning with the eighteenth century for the dissemination of knowledge of the circumpolar culture and efforts on conservation and development of Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Destinations of the conference:

1. Dialogue among cultures and civilizations in the context of cultural diversity;
2. Arctic civilization: cultural identity and the identity of ethnic groups;
3. The problem of preservation and the retransmission of the ethno-cultural heritage of the peoples of the Arctic;
4. The role of museums in the world to inform, expand and deepen the knowledge of the circumpolar civilization;
5. Information Technology in Museums: a sharing of experiences.

The conference will promote the development of scientific research, educational and cultural activities, information dissemination for sustainable development Arctic and North, as well as implementation of joint international research projects and practices in the museum case.

The conference will promote international co-operation and Development Arctic peoples, under the auspices of UNESCO, the exchange of good practices of museums world to preserve, disseminate, develop and retransmission of the cultures of peoples of the circumpolar region. It is the creation of a united information and communication resource of the cultural heritage of the peoples of the Arctic, held by the funds of various museums in the world.

As a result of the conference is planned:

• Release an album and a multimedia DVD-ROM in English and Russian languages "Circumpolar Civilization in the museums of Yakutia";
• Start Internet portal "Circumpolar civilization in museums around the world: yesterday, today, tomorrow" - arcticmuzeum.com;
• Organizing photos and video exhibition "Circumpolar civilization in major exhibits museums in the world";
• The organization of the regional festival of folk artists;
• Creation of an international organizing committee for the project.
