The first Republican in the open air festival of ethnic, alternative and rock music "Elleyada Rock 2008"

August 1st to 3rd 2008, next to Maya, Megino-Kangalass ulus, the largest Republican open air "Elleyada Rock 2008" will take place. This first festival in Yakutia is not limited by any conceptual framework. The festival "Elleyada Rock 2008" is essentially a new stage in the evolution of such large-scale events in our republic. Unlike the International Festival "Tabyk", the boundary in the format of the festival will be largely expanded. And "Elleyada Rock 2008" will vary from a usual rock festival by Multi-format, which is largely oriented to youth audience.

At the festival's main stage groups "Mortemirus", "Cholbon", "Hardyy", "Tyynnaah", "103", "Uranium", "Dobun", "Yrgel Sulus and others will give their full concerts. One will not be bored on an alternative scene too. Here in front of the audience the best rap teams of Sakha Republic will perform as well. To support ethnic music of indigenous peoples of Yakutia, with sufficient numbers of participants, there will be music contests in jews harp (guimbarde), competition Yakutian musicians playing on national instruments, singers contest "Degeren."

Then as early as 20:00, with these shamanistic rituals of treating the local spirits and asking a permission from them to conduct the Festival, on the main site the Festival "Elleyada Rock 2008" will be declared open. In August 3rd afternoon, by the results of the 2-day qualifying contests the program of the gala concert will be determined. And at 19:00 in Yakutsk at Tuymaada stadium the final gala concert will finish the festival.
