Well, after a long 12 years break I went to my mother’s motherland, to Zhigansk. It’s located to the north from Yakutsk behind the polar circle. A long time ago I’ve already flown there by plane. And once I reached Zhigansk by the steam-ship down the river Lena. This time I decided to ride a bus. I'm not sure what make was the vehicle, but our "bus" looked like this:

YAKUTSK, April 13. Representatives of Mondi SCP (Czech Republic) and Eco Invest (Slovakia) are staying in Yakutia now invited by Yakutian President Vyacheslav Shtyrov. The Yakutian party presented to the guests its priority investment projects in the coal and wood industries. The guests expressed interest in the projects on the development of the wood industrial complex in the southwest of Yakutia, in the organization of a wood processing enterprise in the settlement of Peleduy of the Leninsky district, production of wood-coal briquettes and pellets in the territory of the Republic. |

Paris, March 7, 2006 — Alcatel (Paris: CGEP.PA and NYSE: ALA) today announced that it has signed a contract with Sakhatelecom, one of the leading regional incumbent operators in Russia, to deploy a next-generation (NGN) network in the Republic of Sakha, also known as Yakutiya. The project will start in the second quarter of 2006 in the cities of Yakutsk and Mirny and is scheduled for completion by the end of the year. |
