The Sakha Republic, Yakutia, will stage an international auction of mammoth tusks and other remains on Friday, 11/30/2007 the fourth event of this kind there. Specialists of the Sakha State University and scientists from France have found a mummy at the digging site nearby Boltongo, Churapchinsky ulus.

The finding at once attracted genetics, archeologists, anthropologists, and geographers, including those from Strasburg and Paris. They managed to ascertain that the mummy is a body of a young woman buried in the 17th century. Her belongings are in a good condition.

The mummy was transported to Yakutsk by a helicopter. Now the scientists are going to find out the reason of death, the diseases, the way of the life, and the food of the found body.
